Day 7: 6/16/18
I have experienced so much generosity this week. It seems like every person that we spoke to and spoke to us was open and willing to share their story with us. Every person that spoke to us shared their story with us, and I could tell that it was difficult for them to do that at times. Simply the fact that we were able to observe at Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority and Mission Hospital, and sit in on a church service, is an act of generosity. I am hoping that I improved the health of others while I was here by providing donations such as clothing, hygiene items, children's toys and necessities, and many other donations. As this was an observational experience we were unable to directly care for patients, I am hoping the donations and sharing my story with others may somehow improve the health of others at Cherokee. After my experience at Cherokee I truly believe that this culture is able to get healthier and also keep their heritage for future generations. They have an amazin
